Air Bus is being planned for Delhi from Dhaula Kuan To Manesar, said Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday while speaking at the Times Network India Economic Conclave 2024.
New Delhi: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday said Delhi will be having Air Buses in the near future. The buses will run from Dhaula Kuan in Delhi to Manesar in Haryana. He added that there will be only 20-25 per cent of diesel buses on the roads in the next five years. This aims to reduce pollution in the national capital.
While speaking at the Times Network India Economic Conclave 2024, the Minister of Road Transport and Highways added that the tenders were invited recently in Nagpur for a pilot project. He took the inspiration for the buses running in Europe, he said.
“You won’t see diesel buses in Delhi in the next five years. In the next five years, you will see only 20-25 per cent of diesel vehicles. Currently, I am preparing for 360 rope-way cable cars. I am also preparing for the Air bus from Dhaula Kuan to Manesar.”
